As a vocal major, Shannon received her Performance Diploma at Malaspina University College (Nanaimo, BC) in Jazz Studies. During her time at Malaspina she performed and soloed frequently with the Malaspina Choir, the Vocal Jazz Ensemble and several first-rate jazz combos. Shannon has also expanded her musical experiences through performing in several roles in TV/film, gospel choirs and musical theatre productions including Titanic: The New Musical, Dracula...The Musical?, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

After graduating from Malaspina, Shannon fronted different bands with styles ranging from jazz to hard rock and soon she began writing her own music. This led to an opportunity to study song writing in Tennessee (USA) with industry leaders and to work as a session singer in Nashville and Memphis. It was during this time that Shannon realized her own musical niche was blues, rock and soul.

Currently, Shannon fronts a dynamite 6-piece show-band that plays regularly for casinos, clubs, corporate functions and fundraising events. Creatively diverse and willing to take risks, this multi-faceted singer now looks forward to helping others find their own musical niche by teaching them how to sing from the heart.

She is a performer and travels to Vegas 4 months of the year and gigs out there. Shannon is the not only teaches locally in Calgary but she also does lessons online via Skype.

I am a Jazz diploma graduate and vocal major who has been teaching singing lessons for a few years now.

Lessons include stretching and strengthening your range while singing the songs that you want to sing. Learn to sing any style of music...rock, pop, gospel, blues, country, jazz, etc.
We have all the gear to hook up microphones and work on performance/microphone technique for anyone that is interested in that.

Whether you want to sing as a hobby or prepare for a career in music, lessons are geared for all levels. I create individual lesson plans and custom make CD's of warm-ups, exercises and songs for the student to work on at home.

We also offer online lessons through the Internet for people who find it difficult or inconvenient to leave their homes.
