Roberta Romero-Lopez

Specialing in Violin Lessons and Viola Lessons, Royal Conservatory Theory , Harmony and History

Roberta is a dedicated violin teacher who has a strong performance and teaching background.  She has served in the first violin section of the Symphony Orchestra Carlos Chavez and the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra.  Roberta is also a former member of the "Soloist of the National Conservatory" and "Eduvoce". She has also played violin in numerous chamber music and symphonic orchestra performance.

As a violin teacher, Roberta has a strong technical foundation which she has acquired from Russian Professor Boris Klepov. She has taught violin and viola lessons for more than 10 years at the National Conservatory of Music and the Artene Music Academy.  Roberta also has experience in working with special needs children and has adapted ways to teach these students incorporating movement as part of the violin lesson.

Roberta's Violin/Viola Lesson Approach

1. Roberta's violin lessons are creative and personalized to fulfill the needs and expectations of every student.  She considers the student's interests, musical preferences, student personality, ability and temper.  
2. Roberta believes that her violin students should enjoy every lesson. She keeps them motivated by encouraging them to give the best of themselves in every violin lesson therefore developing a strong sense of self-discipline.
3. Roberta believes that violin lessons are more than learning how to play the violin.  She believes that music lessons are also lessons for life as the student learns how to cope with some difficulties and frustrations. Music students learn how to approach musical problems, find different solutions, take accountability of their learning process and enjoy the results of their work.
